Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent collection of the hydrogen gas in a battery chamber, so as to prevent an explosion, by communicating a motor chamber housing a motor, and the battery chamber housing a battery, and exhausting the hydrogen gas generated by an overdischarging to the outer side forcibly.
SOLUTION: When the capacity of a battery 1 is reduced by continuing the operation, the hydrogen gas is generated in a battery chamber 7 by the pole reversing. However, since the pressure in a motor chamber 6 is reduced in the operating condition of a battery tool, by rotating a fan 10, and the motor chamber 6 and the battery chamber 7 are communicated through a ventilating hole 9, the hydrogen gas generated in the battery chamber 7 is discharged outside forcibly through the ventilating hole 9, the inside of the motor chamber 6, and air holes 13. Since the hydrogen gas is not stored by the pole reversing in such a way, an explosion is never generated even if a spark is generated at the contact part of a terminal 2.
