Title:
COATABLE RESIN COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07109437
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition excellent in heat resistance, mechanical strength, moldability, organic solvent resistance, coatability, printability, etc., by using as the constituents a specified modified olefin resin and a polyphenylene ether each in a specified amount.

CONSTITUTION: This resin composition comprises 90-40wt.% modified olefinic resin obtained by grafting an olefinic resin (e.g. PP) with a hydroxylated α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester (e.g. 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and an aromatic vinyl compound (e.g. styrene) and 10-60wt.% polyphenylene ether [e.g. poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene ether)]. It prererably contains further a partially hydrogenated aromatic vinyl compound/conjugated diene block copolymer (e.g. Kraton-G, a product of Shell Chemicals) in an amount of 1-40 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. total of these polymers.
