Abstract:

To provide a coated corrugated metal gasket having satisfactory sealing property even with a fastening contact pressure as low as 19.6 N/mm2.

The coated corrugated metal gasket is constituted by adhering covering materials to both surfaces of a metal plate, the both surfaces being subjected to corrugating processing, one surface of the metal plate being corrugated to have two or more crests and the other surface thereof being corrugated to have one or more crests. The metal gasket satisfies the following requirements: (1) The thickness (t0) of the metal plate is 0.4-1.2 mm; (2) the difference (t1-t0) between the height (t1) of the crest and the thickness (t0) of the metal plate is 0.2 mm or more; (3) the thickness (t2) of the covering material is 0.15-1.2 mm; and (4) the density of the covering material is 0.7-1.35g/cm3.
