Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of welding by arranging coated material containing each the prescribed wt.% of TiO2, SiO2, Al2O3, Mn, CaCO3 and organic material around a carbon steel core wire regulating each the specific ratio of Si, A, N and O.

CONSTITUTION: The each component composition in the carbon steel core with is regulated to 0.035W0.10wt.% Si, ≤0.002% Al, ≤0.008% N and 0.001W0.0095% O. Further, the each component composition in the coated material is limited to 33W53% TiO2, 13W28% SiO2, 2W7% Al2O3, 3W8% Mn, 1W8% CaCO3 and 3W7% organic material of starch, etc. As Si in the core wire is added to suitable content, the resistance of the core wire is increased, and deposition rate is increased. As TiO2 content in the coated material is high, bead surface shape and restrikability of arc are improved and also in accordance with increasing deposition rate of the welding rod, the efficiency of the welding is improved.
