This coated food is composed by coating the intermediate moisture food or high moisture food or a cooked vegetable kind or grain kind or meat kind with the composition for coating composed of one or more kinds of the edible antibacterial material, selected from chitosan, calcium, hinokitiol, galacturonic acid, protamine and polylysine and one or more kinds of the sugar selected from starch, dextrin, guar gum and trehalose. Also, it is preferable that the composition for coating contains salatrim and polyglycerol condensation ricinoleic acid further.
