To provide a coated and heat-treated steel which has appropriate corrosion resistance after having been painted as an automotive member, with which production of scale due to heat treatment is suppressed, and further which is excellent in weldability and decorativeness, even when having been subjected to the heat treatment of heating at least a part of a steel having a plated film on at least one side to a quenchable temperature range and subsequently cooling it.
The coated and heat-treated steel is obtained by conducting the heat treatment of heating at least a part of the steel that has the alloy plated film including a total of ≥50% of two or more selected from a group of a Ni plated film, a Cr plated film, a Cu plated film, and a Co plated film, or, Ni, Cr, Cu or Co coated on at least one side and has been subjected to an alloying treatment at a temperature of the Ac3 point or lower, to the quenchable temperature range, and has a film in which a combination of one or two or more selected from a group of iron-Ni, Cr, Cu or Co are alloyed on the surface of at least one part of a portion that has been heat treated. The film has corrosion resistance and also can secure a lubricating function at a high temperature, and further is excellent in weldability and decorativeness.
