Abstract:
To provide coated metal powder which does not yield cracks or delamination and which has extremely low short circuit ratio when the metal powder is used for a ceramic multilayer capacitor.
Part of this coated metal powder is coated with an inorganic compound having an OH group. The metal powder is preferably composed of Ni grains or Ag-Pd grains, and further, the inorganic compound to be applied thereon can be a compound shown by a formula ABO3-X/2 (OH)X (wherein, A is one or more elements selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba; and B is one or more elements selected from Ti, Zr and Hf. Further, (x) is the number satisfying the inequality 0<x<6).
