To facilitate replacement of a cutting blade by providing a coated pipe cutter, which is used to cut and remote a pipe coating at an end of a flexible pipe provided with a protecting coating, comprising a pair of divisional cutters overlapping each other in a thickness direction, and arranging a cutting blade in an overlapped portion of said two divisional cutters.
A coated pipe cutter comprises a first and a second divisional cutters 1A, 1B overlapping each other in a thickness direction. Further, a cutting blade 5 for cutting a coating film 22 of a coated pipe 20 is interposed between boundary portions of the divisional cutters 1A and 1B. Positions of opposed surfaces facing each other at boundary portions 4A of the divisional cutters 1A, 1B are determined by engagement between a fitting protrusion and a fitting recess. The cutting blade 5 is formed by diagonally cutting two ends of a cutlery steel plate having a long hole formed in its center, and the blade is subsequently sharpened. Each of the divisional cutters 1A, 1B positioned at two sides of the cutting blade 5 is provided with a guide protrusion 11 for fitting and thus positioning the cutting blade 5 into an annular groove 21a of a bellows pipe 21.
