Abstract:
To provide a coating agent capable of controlling a counter ion of a carboxyl group on a surface of modified fine cellulose, suppressing swelling due to intrusion of water molecules after coating and drying, and maintaining excellent gas barrier properties specifically under high humidity, and also to provide a method for producing thereof, a barrier film and a packaging film.SOLUTION: A coating agent contains water-soluble polymer and modified fine cellulose obtained by oxidizing and refining cellulose. The modified fine cellulose includes a carboxyl group on a surface thereof. In a total number of counter ions of the carboxyl group, 70% or more are ammonium ions. A density of the water-soluble polymer is 1 mass% or more and 90 mass% or less. The water-soluble polymer is at least one kind of polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene vinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose.SELECTED DRAWING: None
