Title:
COATING AGENT COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3461326
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent composition which forms a coating film excellent in resistances to water, weathering, and staining and which, even when used long time after the production of the resultant emulsion, forms a coating film exhibiting no change (degradation) in physical properties.
SOLUTION: This coating agent composition is prepared by subjecting an emulsion (I) which contains a silyl-group-containing unsaturated monomer (A) prepared by hydrolyzing at least 50 mol% of hydrolyzable silyl groups of a hydrolyzable-silyl-group-containing unsaturated monomer (a) or by condensing thus prepared hydrolyzate, an unsaturated monomer (B) other than monomer A, and an emulsifier (D) or by subjecting an emulsion (II) which contains monomer A, monomer B, a tetraalkoxysilane and/or its condensate of partial hydrolyzate (C), and an emulsifier (D) to polymerization in the presence of a polymerization initiator.
