Abstract:

To provide a coating agent that is produced by utilizing environmentally safeguarding type natural resources, can be waste-treated or recycled with inexpensive costs, has flexibility, excellent gas-barrier properties and can inhibit moisture deterioration and temperature dependency and provide laminated materials produced by use of the coating agent, thus having high transparency, gas barrier properties, excellent fabricability and storability.

The objective coating agent characteristically includes very fine cellulose having, as constitution units, glucuronic acid residues and glucose residues that are formed by oxidizing cellulose so that the carbon atom in the 6-position on the glucopyranose ring is selectively converted to carboxy group. In addition, the coating agent is used to produce the objective laminated material.
