When coating powder, information concerning physical properties (coating thickness, moisture, coating performance, impurities, etc.) of a powder layer A in contact with a surface of the translucent member 13a is measured on real time via the translucent member 13a by an NIR (near infrared) sensor 13b, the data obtained are processed by the processing part of an NIR spectroscopic analysis device and monitored, and the coating operation conditions (feed air volume, feed air temperature, spray conditions, rotary speed of a rotary drum 1, etc.) by a feedback control or a manual operation are appropriately controlled according to the monitoring results, to perform high quality coating treatment.
