PURPOSE: To coat a large number of object articles to be coated uniformly without unevenness at a time and enable a worker to adjust spraying pattern easily.

CONSTITUTION: A coating apparatus is provided with object articles 1 to be coated which are put on a rotary stand 2, a plurality of spraying guns 4 so arranged as to spray obliquely from upside to the scanning direction of the stand 2 and form a row of the spraying patterns 5, a transversely reciprocating apparatus 9 to vibrate a plurality of the spraying guns 4, and a shifting apparatus 7 to make a plurality of the spraying guns 4 scan above the stand 2 from the front to the back or from the back to the front. Further, the coating apparatus is provided with a coating controlling apparatus 11 to coat the object articles 1 to be coated from all sides of the articles, wherein with the apparatus, coating of the object articles 1 to be coated on the stand 2 is carried out by scanning them from the front to the back or from the back to the front with the shifting apparatus 7 while the spraying guns 4 being vibrated with the transversely reciprocating apparatus 9 to form a row of spraying patterns 5, rotating the stand 2 at prescribed angle, and then scanning the articles from the front to the back or from the back to the front to carry out further coating, and repeating these processes.
