Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce toxicity and flash point while suppressing the possibility of ozone decrease by coating the surface of a substrate with a liquid coating composition which contains a liquid coating material containing a specific solvent composition and a coating material.
SOLUTION: A liquid coating composition is applied to at least a part of at least one surface of a substrate to cause a coating to be bonded. The coating composition contains a solvent composition and a coating material soluble or dispersible therein. The solvent composition contains at least one compound which is a mono-, di-, or trialkoxy-substituted perfluoro(cyclo)alkane compound, perfluorocycloalkyl-containing perfluoro compound, or perfluorocycloalkylene- containing perfluoroalkane compound and which may contain N and/or O in a pyrrolidine, morpholine, or piperazine ring, N in a tert. amine, or O in an ether bond other than O in the mono-, di-, or trialkoxy substituent.
