To provide a coating composition by which performances such as heat resistance, transparency, flatness, high hardness and crack resistance required for high-grade optical materials and display device materials are obtained, suitable for film formation step using spin coating and drying under reduced pressure.
The coating composition comprises (a) a siloxane polymer obtained by hydrolyzing and condensing at least one kind of compound selected from a polysiloxane compound represented by general formula (1) and/or a silane compound represented by general formula (2) and (b) two or more kinds of organic solvents having ≤100 Pa vapor pressure values at 20°C and exhibiting different vapor pressure values. In the coating composition, the content of the component (b) is ≥80 wt.% and ≤100 wt.% based on total amount of organic solvents.
