Abstract:
SOLUTION: A coating composition for golf balls is predominantly composed of a urethane coating comprising polyol as a main agent and polyisocyanate as a curing agent. The polyisocyanate contains two of an isocyanurate body and an adduct body of hexamethylene diisocyanate, and the composition has an elastic work recovery rate of 70% or more. There is also provided a golf ball.EFFECT: A coating composition for golf balls has a high self-repairing function and has high quality as a coating for golf balls. A golf ball coated with the coating composition can keep its durability satisfactorily and exhibits excellent wear resistance and a good ball appearance.SELECTED DRAWING: None
