Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new thermosetting coating composition having high solid content and capable of forming a coating film having excellent acid resis tance as well as scratch resistance and provide a method for forming a top- coating using the composition.
SOLUTION: This thermosetting coating composition having high solid content contains a carboxyl-containing compound, a vinyl polymer having epoxy group, hydroxyl group and a hydrolyzable alkoxysilyl group in one molecule, a reactive organopolysiloxane and fine particles of a crosslinked polymer. The present invention also relates to a method for forming a top-coating using the composition.
