Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a coating composition which can form a coating film having an easily controllable degree of mattedness, being free from surface defects such as nonuniform gloss and gas pinholes, undergoing small change in gloss in continuous coating and capable of retaining stable mattedness.
CONSTITUTION: A water-base coating composition comprising an acrylic copolymer resin (I) containing hydrolyzable alkoxysilane, an acrylic copolymer resin (II) containing hydrolyzable alkoxysilane and a crosslinking agent (III) (provided that at least one of components I and II contains acidic or hydroxyl groups) and being neutralized with a basic substance.
