To provide a containing a new coating composition for a vehicular interior finishing material, containing a non-halogen-based flame retardant and capable of being suitably used for the vehicular interior finishing material, such as a car seat and a car mat, without deteriorating physical properties of conventional coating agents containing halogen-based flame retardants.

This coating composition for the vehicular interior finishing material is given by adding one, two, or more kinds of the non-halogen-based flame retardants to a synthetic resin emulsion in an amount of 1-300 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a solid content of the emulsion, wherein the flame retardant is formed by coating surfaces of non-halogen-based flame retardant particles containing phosphorus and nitrogen with a reaction product of a siloxane oligomer and a functional group-containing organic silicon compound.
