Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition capable of forming a coating film having high pencil hardness, solvent resistance, water resistance, cross-cut adhesiveness and impact resistance without containing or generating formaldehyde.SOLUTION: A coating composition contains a water-soluble resin, tris(alkoxycarbonylamino)triazine and an isocyanate compound and does not contain formaldehyde. The coating composition further contains an acid catalyst, the water-soluble resin can be an acrylic resin having a glass transition temperature of -25°C or higher and 40°C or lower, an acid value of 15 mgKOH/g or more and 120 mgKOH/g or less, a hydroxyl value of 10 mgKOH/g or more and 65 mgKOH/g or less and a weight average molecular weight of 7,500 or more and 55,000 or less, and the isocyanate compound can be a block isocyanate compound in which an isocyanate group is blocked with a blocking agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
