Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new coating composition containing a mixture of different UV absorbers.
CONSTITUTION: This coating composition contains, a mixture of at least one 2-hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole and at least one 2-hydroxyphenyltriazine, a mixture of at least one 2-hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole and at least one 2- hydroxyphenyltriazine, 2-hydroxybenozphenone and/or oxanilide, or a mixture of at least one 2-hydroxyphenyltriazine and at least one 2-hydroxybenzophenone and/or oxanilide. The said combination of the UV absorbers of various structures prevents the decomposition of polymer materials in the coating caused by oxygen, moisture and UV light in the atmosphere.
