To provide a nonsolvent or high-solid coating compsn. which has good storage stability and applicability though it does not contain a solvent or contains it only in a slight amt. and which adheres well to a substrate and can form a coating layer excellent in characteristics such as appearance, resistances to water and solvents, and weatherability.
This compsn. is prepd. by mixing a silicate oligomer (A1) with a copolymer obtd. by the polymn. of a monoe mixture comprising a (meth) acrylate and a hyroxylated or alkoxysilylated (meth)acrylate in the presence of a silicate oligomer (A2). The wt. ratio of oligomer A1 to oligomer A2 in the compsn. is (70:30)-(30:70), and the sum of the oligomers is 5-500 pts.wt. based on 100 pts. wt. acrylic resin component.
