Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device and a coating method capable of rapidly and inexpensively forming a uniform film without causing irregular film thickness on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical body to be coated such as an electrophotographic photoreceptor.
SOLUTION: A coating liquid vessel 21 holding a coating liquid 31 with a liquid leakage preventive packing 41 having an opening part is provided. The cylindrical body 11 to be coated such as a cylindrical photoreceptor supporting body is inserted into the opening part of the liquid leakage preventive packing 41 and the cylindrical body 11 to be coated is moved relatively in the vertical direction to the coating liquid vessel 21. A coating liquid scraping member 51 in concentric to the cylindrical body 11 to be coated and movable in the radial direction of the cylindrical body 11 to be coated is provided in the inside part or the upper side of the coating liquid vessel 21. The coating liquid scraping member 51 is aligned by the liquid presser of the coating liquid 31 to the coating liquid scraping member 51 so as to equalize the center of the coating liquid scraping member 51 to the center of the cylindrical body 11 to be coated.
