To provide a coating device having an improved production efficiency attained by shortening its cycle time.
The coating device is comprised of a syringe 34 for storing a coating liquid, a movable dispenser head 25 equipped with a nozzle 30 that functions as an ejection port for the coating liquid in the syringe 34, an air supply circuit 50 for ejecting a prescribed amount of the coating liquid out of the nozzle 30 by temporarily introducing compressed air into the syringe 34 by switching the supply and stop thereof of the compressed air supplied from an air supply source 44 in accordance with the working action of a switching valve 46, and a control means 40 for controlling the movement of the dispenser head 25 and the ejection of the coating liquid, which control means calculates a time T necessary for ejecting the coating liquid from a non-working time t of the switching valve 46 and controls the timing of distancing the nozzle 30 of the dispenser head 25 from a resting position on a coating point in accordance with the time T necessary for ejecting the coating liquid.
