Abstract:
To provide a coating apparatus in which a coating agent can be efficiently used.
The coating apparatus is provided with: a housing member (15, 15a) for housing the coating agent; and a roll member (13) which is rotated to apply the coating agent to the object (2) to be coated. The roll member has an application area (13a) in the direction of a rotary shaft, on which a plurality of grooves for holding the coating agent are formed in the peripheral direction, and a non-application area (13b) which has the diameter smaller than that of the application area and is in a non-contact state with the coating agent housed in the housing member.
