Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a coating device that applies a coating liquid on a surface of an object to be coated, and is capable of filling the coating liquid to the details of defective sections of the surface to be coated. The present invention is a coating device for applying a specific coating liquid onto all or a portion of a surface of a plate-like object to be coated that is continuously or intermittently conveyed and has cavity-like defective sections on the surface. The coating device is characterized by comprising: a coating amount adjustment member which adjusts the coating amount of the coating liquid; and a filling assistance member which has a main part, on the upstream side of the coating amount adjustment member in the conveyance direction, extending in a direction intersecting the conveyance direction, and to which the coating amount adjustment member is pressure welded, the filling assistance member also having a gap portion that regulates, such that a coating liquid flow path converges, the flow direction of the coating liquid that is supplied on the surface of the plate-like object to be coated and moves in the conveyance direction along with the plate-like object to be coated, the filling assistance member helping the filling of the coating liquid into the defective sections, wherein the gap portion has a shape satisfying a specific relationship.
