Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a heat input distribution at an upper side portion of a trapezoidal shape formed by an induction heating coil to be easily changed.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a coating and drying device for moving an induction heating coil 3 around an item to be coated and drying the coating material coated on the item to be coated. The induction heating coil 3 is a race track type coil having two semi-cylindrical shape corner portions 31a and 31b disposed at both ends and two straight portions 32a and 32b disposed between the two corner portions 31a and 31b. The coil has a control unit to perform a controlling operation by changing an inclination angle θ between a moving direction A of the induction heating coil 3 and a longitudinal axis AX of the induction heating coil 3 to form a desired heat input temperature distribution in respect to the item to be coated.
