Abstract:
To achieve a coating device and a coating method which can synchronize motion of a multi-axis robot with motion of a print head.SOLUTION: A coating device 1 is provided with a print head 3, a multi-axis robot 2, and control means that moves the multi-axis robot 2 and performs first coating operation of applying a predetermined first print control signal to the print head 3 so that the print head 3 ejects a first coating material, and then moves the multi-axis robot 2 and performs second coating operation of applying a predetermined second print control signal to the print head 3 so that the print head 3 ejects a second coating material, which further comprises obtaining means that obtains information concerning characteristics of the multi-axis robot 2 during the first coating operation. The control means corrects the second print control signal on the basis of the information concerning the characteristics of the multi-axis robot 2 obtained by the obtaining means and applies the signal to the print head 3, during the second coating operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
