Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an automotive coating film-protective sheet causing no deterioration or discoloration of the coating film even after adhesively covering the automotive coating film surface in a state of containing acid rain and/or washing liquid or the like, and capable of sustaining such an adhesively covering condition as it is without being taken off.
SOLUTION: This automotive coating film-protective sheet is obtained by providing a porous substrate with a tack agent layer, wherein the air permeability in the direction of sheet thickness is ≤20,000 s/100 cc and moisture permeability ≥2,000 g/m2.24 h and/or the ultraviolet transmittance with a wavelength of 190-370 nm ≤10% for the porous substrate. This sheet has the following advantages: even if acid rain or washing liquid is infiltrated into the interface between this sheet and the coating film surface, it is evaporated or transpirated and the local evaporation or concentration of entrained bubbles or the like is hard to be developed, preventing the deterioration or discoloration of the coating film even if the sheet runs sustainedly adhered as it is, with no need of replacing it by new one; the sheet is also applicable to body portions with perpendicular surface, and in the case of ultraviolet radiation cutting, even after left to stand over a long period at a place with intense ultraviolet radiation, the sheet can be easily taken off without any substrate breakage or tack agent layer residues.
