This coating film transfer implement is structured in the way that the transfer head 23 is projected from the forward end opening of a case body 1, a supply reel 2 and a take-up reel 3 are provided inside the case body 1 and a transfer tape 34 wound around the supply reel 2 is taken up around the take-up reel 3 through the transfer head 23. The protecting cover 6 capable of covering the transfer head 23 is installed at the forward end part of the case body 1 so that the protecting cover 6 is freely slidable between the advancing position where the transfer head 23 is covered and the receding position where the transfer head 23 is exposed. Besides, the protecting cover 6 is urged in the advancing position direction by means of a spring, and a securing means 40 for securing the protecting cover 6 to the case body 1 and a removing means 18 for removing the securing state are provided at the receding position.
