In the coating film transfer tool, a cartridge 2, in which a feed reel 7 and a take-up reel 8 are equipped under the condition that reel gears provided respectively and coaxially onto both the reels are engaged with each other and to the front end of which a push rod type transfer head 9 is annexed, is installed within a case main body 3, which is formed by providing a slider 17 retractable from and extendable through a front end opening 13 by being forwardly energized by a spring action in a tubular body 15 having openings 13 and 14 at its front and rear ends. At the same time, by engaging a take-up claw piece provided on the slider 17 with a take-up gear integrally and coaxially provided with either one between the feed reel 7 and the take-up reel 8 only towards the taking-up direction of the transfer tape 6 so as to press and project the rear surface of the transfer tape 6 through the front end opening 17a of the slider 17 by the push-rod type transfer head 9 in response to the immersion of the slider 17.
