Abstract:

To provide a coating machine which matches a situation on actual coating, requires no complicated processing in a decompression chamber and prevents the unevenness of the thickness distribution of a coating liquid film in a width direction of a material to be coated when a coating liquid is applied on the surface of the material to be coated by a coating method of applying while a bead is formed in the gap with the surface of a continuously running material to be coated, a production procedure of a coated material, and an optical film and an antireflection film produced by this production procedure.

The coating machine comprises the decompression chamber which keeps the upstream side decompressed in the moving direction of the material to be coated of a coating head, wherein the decompression chamber is divided into a plurality of chambers in a coating width direction and the plurality of chambers is independently adjustable for the degree of a reduced pressure.
