PURPOSE: To obtain an aqueous coating material comprising a specific type aqueous dispersion and a solvent-free aqueous dispersion of a solubilized, masked isocyanate and which improves a surface quality, is excellent in throwing power, and is useful for coating on electrically conductive articles and the like.
CONSTITUTION: The aqueous coating material comprises (A) an aqueous dispersion of a resin, such as an amino-modified epoxy resins, having functional groups, such as hydroxyl, amino, mercapto groups and the like, which are reactive with an isocyanate, and (B) a solvent-free, aqueous dispersion of a solubilized, masked isocyanate such as diphenylmethane diisocyanate or the like (provided that, when an isocyanate is cationically solubilized, a polymeric or oligomeric polyisocyanate is used).
