PURPOSE: To efficiently dry partial rustproof coating which is performed after coating and drying treatment has been completed by providing a driving means for moving and operating a partial heater between the heat-acting position of an automobile body and the retiring position thereof.
CONSTITUTION: When an automobile body A carried with a carrier 6 is passed through the prescribed heat-acting position α of a partial heater in a carrier path, the partial heater 13 in the position α is retired to the retiring position βoutside the carrier path by driving and controlling a driving means 17 with a controlling means. Thereby the automobile body A is smoothly carried. On the other hand, before the automobile body A reaches the position α in the carrier route or after it is passed through this position, the partial heater 13 is set at the position α in the carrier path with the driving means 17 and both the partial parts X1, X2 of the fore-and aft parts of the body and the partial part of the body side part in which partial rustproof coating has been performed are heated and dried with the partial heater 13.
