Abstract:

To obtain a coating material which can form a coating film being amenable to fabrication such as cutting, does not undergo cissing frequency occurring during printing, is excellent in leveling after printing, is prevented from increasing in viscosity during continuous printing and has much improved printability by selecting a coating material comprising an organic resin, a ureiso- containing at least one trifunctional silicon alkoxide, a fine silica powder having a specified primary particle diameter and a high-boiling point.

The material comprises an organic resin, 1-25wt.% ureido- containing at least one trifunctional silicon alkoxide, 2-4wt.% fine silica powder having a primary particle diameter of 15nm or below and 30-70wt.% high-boiling solvent having a boiling point of 150-250°C. The organic resin is resin commonly used a coating material and is exemplified by an acrylic resin or an alkyd resin. The ureido-containing trifunctional silicon alkoxide is exemplified by γ-ureidopropylehtoxysilane.
