Abstract:
To provide a coating material and a sealant capable of initially corresponding due to self-extinguishing before fire spread of fire of an architectural structure, and sensing fire and automatically ejecting a fluoride oxidized hydrocarbon-based fire extinguishant.SOLUTION: A coating material or a sealant encapsulating an aqueous or oily liquid or sol-like object, and a fire extinguishant, and having microcapsules included at a volume ratio or 20% or more in the liquid or sol-like object is such that: the fire extinguishant is a fire extinguishant which has a fluoride oxidized hydrocarbon-based fire extinguishant as the main constituent, and has a boiling point under atmospheric pressure ranging from -20°C to 60°C, and steam pressure of 0.03 MPa(0.3Bar) or more at 25°C; and the microcapsule is a microcapsule which has a predetermined outer shell material, a diameter of 10-200 μm, and gas impermeability at normal temperature, and ejects the fluoride oxidized hydrocarbon-based fire extinguishant due to plasticization, dissolution, burning, deformation and breakage when an environmental temperature is increased to 80-180°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
