Abstract:

PURPOSE: To coat the adhesive agent in an optimum shape even on the deformed plate by a method wherein arrival of the plate is detected by many first points arranged at a predetermined interval and, based on this detection, the adhesive agent is coated in a line pattern by many second points corresponding thereto.

CONSTITUTION: If the plate 7 is advanced to a direction shown by an arrow and the forward end thereof is passed under photoelectric tubes 12a, 12b..., the photoelectric tubes in a range corresponding to the width of the plate detect the plate 7 and a signal is sent to air cylinders 17a, 17b.... Then, after a predetermined time is elapsed, the air cylinders are operated to open valves 14a, 14b... and the adhesive agents are discharged from nozzles 13a 13b... to coat the adhesive agents on a surface of the plate 7. Subsequently, a trailing end of the plate 7 is passed under the photoelectric tubes 12a, 12b..., after a predetermined time is elapsed, the cylinders 17a, 17b... are operated again to close the valves 14a, 14b... and the coating of the adhesive agents 18a, 18b... is stopped. Moreover, each set of the photoelectric tubes, the air cylinders, the valves and the nozzles is operated independently in unrelation with an operation condition of other set as a rule. Further, figures (b), (c) and (d) show plates with various shapes coated by the adhesive agent.
