Title:
COATING METHOD FOR BIOACTIVE HYDROXYLAPATITE FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02255515
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily coat the surface of a base material with the bioactive apatite film resembling in-vivo bones without subjecting the base material to a heating treatment by disposing the base material and glass to face each other and immersing the same into an aq. hydroxylapatite component soln. of satd. and supersatd. concns.

CONSTITUTION: The base material and the glass essentially consisting of CaO and SiO2 are disposed to face each other at a spacing of a specified distance or below and are immersed into the aq. hydroxylapatite component soln. of the satd. and supersatd. concns., by which the film of the hydroxylapatite resembling to the bones is formed on the surface of the base material. The compsn. of the glass to be opposed to the base material, the ion concn., pH and temp. of the aq. soln. in which the base material is immersed, and further, the spacing between the base material and the glass are preferably limited respectively within prescribed ranges in order to efficiently execute the above-mentioned coating method. The glass to be used is preferably composed of 20 to 60% CaO, 40 to 80mol% SiO2 and ≥70mol% total of the CaO and the SiO2.
