Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the material for the outer wall and interior of a building having a spangle pattern by clearly floating up a zinc crystal pattern on the surface of a galvanized product and a galvanized sheet.

CONSTITUTION: A galvanized product or a galvanized sheet contg. zinc crystals is (a) immersed in an etching soln. of galvanizing, (b) is next immersed in a room temp. or warmed chromate soln. and (c) is thereafter coated with a coating material. A phosphating stage is preferably included between the (a) stage and (b) stage. The etching soln. is preferably constituted of 10 to 100g/l sulfuric acid, 5 to 100g/l nitric acid and 5 to 50g/l acidic fluoride. The chromate soln. is preferably constituted of 2 to 50g/l sodium bichromate or chromic anhydride. As the coating material, an acrylic silicone series coating material or a composite coating material of silicone resin and potassium titanate whiskers is preferably used. These coating materials are preferably added with a pattern accentuator.
