Abstract:
To provide a coating method of a steel strip to enable to coat a steel strip which runs fast without producing coating defects due to splashing of a coating liquid or production of bubbles.
A roll coating machine equipped with a pickup roll and an applicator roll is used. A coating liquid having 1 to 10 mPa.s viscosity is applied on a steel strip by continuous reverse coating while adjusting the circumferential velocity of the pickup roll to 20 to 80 m/min and the circumferential velocity of the applicator roll to 200 to 1000 m/min which is faster than the velocity of the running steel strip.
