Abstract:
To provide a coating removal tool for a coated cable capable of removing an end portion of coating cut by a cutting blade from a core after securely being scooped and that hardly cuts the coating when scooping it.SOLUTION: A coating removal tool includes an insertion port 28 into which an end portion of a coated cable 40 is inserted to remove coating 42 by relatively rotating the tool relative to the cable 40 inserted from the insertion port 28. A cutting blade body 22 that has a cutting blade 23 for cutting into the coating 42 and spirally cuts into the coating 42 from the end portion through insertion and rotation and a scooping unit 26 that is located at a more back side of the cable 40 in an insertion direction than the cutting blade body 22 and scoops the cut coating 42 are provided. A tip of the scooping unit 26 is made to be located at a back side of a rotation direction of a tip of the cutting blade 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
