PURPOSE: The titled composition excellent in adhesion and solvent resistance, comprising a graft copolymer prepared by polymerizing a (meth)acrylate ester with another copolymerizable vinyl monomer.
CONSTITUTION: The composition contains a graft copolymer prepared by graft- polymerizing (A) a chlorinated polyolefin (e.g., chlorinated polyethylene) of chlorination degree ≤50wt%, with (B) a monomer mixture containing 50W100wt% (meth)acrylate ester and 50W0wt% another copolymerizable vinyl monomer (e.g., styrene) so that the weight ratio between the sodids of of components A B can fall within the range of 10:90W90:10.
EFFECT: This composition has a function as a primer for untreated polyolefin bases, and can form cured films excellent in long-lasting adhesion and solvent resistance.
USE: Binder for printing inks; enamel paint.
