To provide a coating structure which can be configured relatively at low cost while improving corrosion resistance in oceanic environment, and an oceanic steel structure employing the coating structure.
A steel pipe pile 1 to be used under a seawater environment is provided. In the steel pipe pile 1, a corrosion resistant layer 3 comprised of a petrolatum-based corrosion resistant material is provided along the outer circumference of a steel pipe 2 comprised of carbon steel, an electrical insulation part 4 is provided further outside of the corrosion resistant layer 3, and a coating member 5 comprised of seawater corrosion resistant stainless steel is provided further outside of the electrical insulation part 4. The coating member 5 is configured by winding a plate comprised of seawater corrosion resistant stainless steel around the outer circumference of the steel pipe 2 and lapping (overlapping) the end portions thereof with each other, and the overlapped end portions of the coating member 5 are fixed by a rivet 6 comprised of titanium.
