To provide a coating system capable of properly controlling the quantity of discharge of coating material in a coater without using an extrusion liquid.
In the coating system, the electrostatic coater 2 is provided with a coating material capsule 14 which houses a coating material bag 16 in a chamber 15 and is freely detachable from the electrostatic coater 2. The electrostatic coater 2 carries out the coating by discharging the coating material supplied from the coating material bag 16 when the coating material capsule 14 is mounted. An air pump 5 supplies air into the chamber 15 through an air pipe 30 to apply air pressure to the outer surface of the coating material bag 16. A pressure sensor 31 detects the air pressure applied to the chamber 15. Control valves 32, 33 are provided in the middle of the air pipe 30. A controller 6 drives the control valves 32, 33 in accordance with the detection result of the pressure sensor 31 to thereby adjust the air pressure supplied to the chamber 15, so that the controller 6 controls the quantity of discharge of the coating material.
