In a coating system for forming an intermittently coated coating film using a coating apparatus provided with a liquid supply part 1, a liquid sending piping part 4, a coating head part 3, a reflux piping part 4b, a flow passage switching part 2, a liquid-sending pressure adjuster 8, a controller 7 and a pressure sensing part 5, when non-coating time is changed to coating time in the intermittent coating, at least one of the liquid supply part 1, the flow passage switching part 2 and the liquid-sending pressure adjuster 8 is feed-back controlled by the controller 7 so as to reduce the pressure difference between pressure in the non-coating time and pressure in the coating time detected by the pressure sensing part 5.
