PURPOSE: To provide a coating varnish well suited for production of insulated wires, etc. used in multi-wire patchboards, by dissolving a chlorosulfonated polyethylene and an amine or imidazoles in a solvent such as cyclohexanone.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. chlorosulfonated polyethylene and 1W15pts.wt. one or more compds. selected from an amine (e.g., hexamethylenediamine, benzyldimethylamine) and imidazoles (e.g., 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole, 1-benzyl-2-methylimidazole) are dissolved in a solvent comprising one or more of those selected from cyclohexanone, 2-hexanone, and 2-heptanone to yield the intended coating varnish. Said varnish is well suited for production of insulated wires employed in multi-wire patchboards using wires in a necessary wiring pattern.
