Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the dependence of a friction coefficient between a glass surface and a wiper blade rubber on the moving speed of the wiper by decreasing the static friction coefficient between them, even when the water film formation on the glass surface is difficult by forming a coated film on the surface of the wiper blade rubber, and to reduce the wear of the wiper blade rubber.
SOLUTION: A coating for wiper blade rubber contains a particulate solid lubricant and a binder for attaching this solid lubricant to the wiper blade rubber. Here, the binder shows an elastic modulus (0.5% modulus) of ≥1 MPa and a breaking extension of ≥1% when dried or cured. A wiper blade rubber having a coated film attached to its lip part is obtained by applying the above- mentioned coating on both sides of the lip part.
