Abstract:

To provide a cobalt oxyhydroxide particle having high density and also having a spherical shape, and to provide a production method therefor.

The cobalt oxyhydroxide particle is obtained by adding an alkali aqueous solution to a bivalent Co salt aqueous solution, performing stirring, bringing the same into contact with the air in the presence of an oxidation catalyst so as to be oxidized, thus being precipitatively formed as spherical particles.
