PURPOSE: To obtain an effective and inexpensive cockroach expellent by impregnating an ingredient such as glycerin, garlic or Allium odorum having effect attracting cockroach into a nuclear body consisting of sponge, cotton, paper, sawdust, etc., and covering outside thereof with a material obtained by kneading boric acid with an attracting feed ingredient.

CONSTITUTION: A paste obtained by impregnating glycerin or a liquid extracted from bulb or foliage of a plant such as Allium odorum or garlic belonging to Liliaceae or bulb or foliage of plant of Liliaceae into a substance such as sponge having minute space or substance such as cotton, cloth or paper or powder capable of readily absorbing a liquid or a paste obtained by crushing bulb or foliage of a plant of Liliaceae is used as a nuclear body 1. Then the outer surface thereof is covered with a covering body 2 obtained by kneading boric acid with an attracting feed ingredient selected from rice sugar, wheat flour, sugar, cow milk, hen's egg and glycerin to provide the cockroach expellent. The cockroach expellent has high attractive and insecticidal effects and long-term effects and can be produced at a low cost.
