The code generator for a reception terminal adopting the CDMA system is provided with a reference code generator 2 that generates a reference code, a reception code generator 4 that generates a reception code from the head of a code period at an optional phase of the reference code generated from the reference code generator 2, a storage device 3 that stores the current phase state of the reference code on the basis of a read instruction signal, and a controller 1 that selects the phase state stored in the storage device, to allow the reception code generator 4 to generate the reception code at a change in the current phase of the reception code through an output of the write instruction signal.
